Valentine Wreath

Valentine Wreath
Wow..Can you believe it is almost Valentine's Day. My birthday just comes faster and faster every year. No, my birthday is not on Valentine's Day, but almost. Februrary 12 is my birthday and I will be 24 years old. Oh my, that sounds funny. Another exciting event this month is my anniversary! My husband and I got married on Leap Year, so we will actually be celebrating our "first" anniversary this year. We usually celebrate on the 28th, but we really have not done anything big..we were saving that for our actual first one. I cannot wait to see what he has up his sleeve. Any who..
On to this project. I cut out a piece of cardboard in the shape of a heart. I painted it white and outlined it in roses. I cut the roses out using my cricut..man I got sooo bored while doing it. My plan was to cover the enitre board, but I changed my mind. I had some left over vinyl letters for the "love." I am pleased again!

Lost Socks?

I was really pleased after I finished this. I saw the idea on pinterest but done with a canvas. I thought it might look better with wood, plus I had some! I painted just a light coat of blue over the wood. My son, Gabryel helped! I may have added a bit too many pins, but hey the more the better. Trust me I got alot of lost socks laying around. I was going to put something like lost and found...odd socks...lost socks, but I thought what if I find something else in the washer/dryer that is not socks so that is how I came up with Lost and Wanted. Lost: you really "Want" to find that item you lost. So this is for my boys...if they ever loose anything in the dryer. More than likely I will tell them and probably give it to them, but I am going to try it this way for a while. Like my boys will ever come in the laundry room...only when they are going out the back door!!

Gabryel's Silhouette

My mother was so proud of these, she is cleaning off her frig. and wants me to make her one of both my brother and I. When she has more grandchildren she will put those under as well. I will be making some of my husband and I as well. I got to find a place on the wall to clean off.
I made this one for my dad and stepmom. I think it even looks great hanging on a door.

My Wood Piece

I had to make a women gift for a party. I wanted something they could be proud of and so could I. I love this. I even saved some wood so I can make me one. I will be putting it on my mantel!

Tea Light Candle Covers

My grandmother wanted me to fix her some candle covers for Christmas. This is what I came up with. At first I was going to make it where she could take the lid off the top and turn out the candle light, but I did not want it to be so complicated. It took me a bit, but I love how it turned out. I cut a circle out of the bottom so all she has to do is pick the cover up and turn the candle out!! She loved them!

My Angel Gabryel

I wanted to start a family tradition event for Christmas. I made an advent calendar and each day you open and learn what Christmas is really all about. The first day we learned about the angel Gabriel. My son's name is also Gabryel. I had to make him some angel wings. We had a blast. I know he will be looking forward to it next year. I simply made the wings out of paper (mine where plastic) plates. I do not think it matters. Then I glued ribbon to the back. Very simple!
